Today, on Constitution Day — the anniversary of when the U.S. Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787 — we celebrate what it means to take responsibility, have a voice, and make collective decisions together.
In that same spirit of democratic participation, we are proud to announce the winners of our Grades 4 & 5 Student Council Election:
Grade 4
🏅 Lyrical, Jose, Santiago, Easton, Adrian, Sophia, Zhunesia, Ana, Favio
Grade 5
🏅 Yakelin, Shamorie, Luis, Adalynn, Ivanna, Aurora, Zander, Miledy, Liliana, Traelyn
Congratulations to our new student council representatives! These students have shown leadership, initiative, and a dedication to being part of the decision-making process — just as our Founding Fathers did when they came together to build our Constitution.
Thank you to everyone who voted, and to all the candidates for their courage and respect for our school community. Together, we continue to learn what it truly means to be responsible citizens.

Today we celebrated our Pawsitive Panthers for the month of September!
These students were recognized for showing the trait of Responsibility every day at school.
Each student received a special certificate and a token for our book vending machine to choose a brand-new book to keep.
We are so proud of these Panthers for leading the way and setting a great example for others. Keep up the amazing work! 🐾🐾

It's Constitution Day and our student council election has begun! Here, candidates in Mr. Allred's class gave their speeches and then the class voted! Results will be tallied today!

Our fifth graders are excited to kick off a Spirit Shop fundraiser! Students will have the chance to purchase fun spirit items—such as pom-poms, bandanas, tattoos, and noisemakers—for just $1 each.
The shop will be open just in time for our first PAWS and Applause Pep Session on Thursday, September 19, which will also celebrate RED Out Day in honor of Dalton High School’s Homecoming. Items will also be available for purchase during Family Night on Wednesday, September 18.
Please note: Cash only—small bills requested.

🎉 Congratulations to the 25 students selected—choosing was tough with so much talent.
Selections were made based on scores from our tryout rubric, and we’re excited for a great year ahead!

Classes resume on Tuesday, September 23.
For Virtual Day, students should complete their work at home either via Canvas or via printed materials sent home by teachers.
