During Grayce Maconā€™s time at The Dalton Academy, she was seen as an incredibly driven student leader and a vital part of her campus community. Grayce dedicated her time to a variety of organizations such as DECA, Junior Civitan, 3DE, the Black Student Alliance, and FCCLA. Among her many contributions, her absolute greatest achievement was her hands-on participation in the building and project planning of the brand-new Dalton Academy Greenhouse, leaving a lasting impact for future students. Dalton Public Schools is incredibly proud of Grayce and her leadership, and we look forward to seeing all the wonderful things she accomplishes in her next chapter!

This fall, Sydney will attend Georgia College and State University to study education, a career path inspired by her genuine passion for helping others and working alongside children. When she reflects on all the memories sheā€™s made, her favorites include having lunch with her friends, playing soccer, and meeting new people that resulted in lifelong friendships. Juana is especially thankful for her friends who supported her during her recovery from an early ACL injury. Victoria was heavily involved in the DHS Student Council, Catamount Singers, the Big Brothers Big Sisters Buddy Program, and served as a part of the Youth United Council and the Youth United Ambassadors. Additionally, she shared her time by teaching Sunday school classes at her church, Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida. Victoria considers her greatest high school achievements to be maintaining a flawless 4.0 GPA across all four years and having the opportunity to connect with so many people through her community involvement. Looking back, her favorite memories all revolve around spending time with the people she loves and growing alongside them. This fall, Victoria will attend The University of Georgia to study Cognitive Science, a path she chose out of a deeply rooted passion for psychology. As Asher Renfroe spent his time at Dalton High School, he proved to be a remarkable student-athlete who excelled both on the field and in the classroom. He participated in multiple school-based programs, such as the National Honor Society, the Big Brother Big Sister Buddy Program, and the FCA Impact Team. He was also a player on the DHS baseball team, where he helped lead a historic turnaround for the program, flipping their record from two consecutive losing seasons to back-to-back 18+ win seasons. Asherā€™s hard work and commitment earned him First Team All-Region honors once, Second Team All-Region honors twice, and recognition as a three-time Scholar-Athlete, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. When he looks back at the memories he made at Dalton High, his absolute favorite memory is beating Calhoun to advance to the state playoffs. This fall, Asher will attend Shorter University to dual major in Business and Biology. Dalton Public Schools is incredibly proud of Asherā€™s dedication and leadership, and we wish him the absolute best in his next chapter!

Today weā€™re featuring Dalton High School graduate Annabelle Rollins!

While Annabelle Rollins attended Dalton High School, she was an extremely well-rounded student, achieving excellence in academics, leadership, and athletics. She was heavily involved on campus, serving as Key Club President and participating in the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Pep Club, and the DHS Den Print Studio. During her four years in high school, she was an outstanding varsity tennis player, becoming the 2024 region champions. Her dedication extended into her academics and creative talents, earning her the title of AP Scholar with Distinction and recognition as the Young Georgia Authors District Winner in both 2023 and 2025. When she reflects on her time as a catamount, her favorite memories are her very first day of senior year and simply getting to experience high school alongside her best friends. This fall, Annabelle will attend Georgia College and State University to study Marketing, a path she chose because it will provide her with a broad number of opportunities across a variety of industries. Dalton Public Schools is incredibly proud of Annabelleā€™s exceptional achievements, and we cannot wait to see all she accomplishes in her next chapter!

During Rogelio Herrera Jr.ā€™s time at Dalton High School, he discovered a deep passion for the arts and a community that changed his life. He was heavily involved on campus through choir and theater, completing Drama 1, 2, and 3, IB Theater Arts, and spending three years participating in Catamount Singers. He made countless memories at DHS, but his absolute favorite was stepping up as the stage manager for the schoolā€™s production of ā€œHetty Feather,ā€ a leadership role he had aimed for since his freshman year. Looking back, Rogelio considers his greatest high school achievement to be making amazing, talented friends who supported him through thick and thin and pushed him to take risks. This fall, Rogelio will attend Dalton State College to study marketing, a path he chose because of his high school economics class, where he discovered a love for the business world. Dalton Public Schools is incredibly proud of Rogelio and looks forward to seeing all the wonderful things he accomplishes in this next chapter!
