Dalton, GA – Dalton Public Schools (DPS) is celebrating continued growth in graduation rates, with both Dalton High School and The Dalton Academy showing year-over-year improvement. The district’s overall graduation rate remains strong and continues to track closely with the state’s record-setting performance.

  • Dalton High School reported a 91.4% graduation rate in 2025, an increase from 88.4% in 2024, and above the state average of 87.2%.

  • The Dalton Academy improved to 76.1%, up from 71.3% in 2024, marking a 4.8-point gain in one year.

  • Districtwide, Dalton Public Schools achieved an 83.5% graduation rate, slightly higher than 83.4% in 2024.

Superintendent Dr. Steven Craft praised the results as a testament to the district’s focus on student achievement:

ā€œWe are encouraged by this year’s graduation rates and the progress our schools are making,ā€ said Dr. Craft. ā€œEvery increase represents more students prepared for college, career, and life. Our goal is to keep building on this growth and ensure every graduate leaves Dalton Public Schools ready for success.ā€

The Georgia Department of Education reported a statewide graduation rate of 87.2% in 2025, the highest in state history.
